Light or Dark ??? Are you Glowing?

Ephesians 5:8-14

"8 For once you were darkness, but now in the Lord you are light. Live as children of light— 9 for the fruit of the light is found in all that is good and right and true. 10 Try to find out what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to mention what such people do secretly; 13 but everything exposed by the light becomes visible, 14 for everything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, "Sleeper, awake! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

This is one of our weekly text. It seems a darkness has tried to come upon the land. While maybe it appears it has taken over, thanks news media, I want you to know that it cannot overcome the light of Christ. You see you are named and claimed by the one who created you. His Son comes to bring light into the world and does just that. Through your naming and claiming you become a child of the light. Christ light shines in you, Christ light shine through you to others. Are you Glowing?

People of God, while we continue to stay away from one another, that does not mean that we cannot let our light shine onto others. A phone call, email, smile or wave may be the light that someone else needs in that moment.

If you feel the darkness coming close, and it will try in many and various ways, remember God is with you, read a devotional, scripture, pray. If it seems the darkness is to strong ask for help, reach out to a friend, family member, pastor or ...... You may find a phone conversation a light in the darkness, you may find naming what you are feeling a help. You are not in this fight against darkness alone.

Shine bright, be a beacon, be a light house, invite others into the light. Our hope comes in the Light of the World, step into the light.
