Our confirmation program is a two year program that covers the 7th and 8th grades. In the two years we cover Luther's Small Catechism, which includes The Ten Commandments, The Lord's Prayer, Apostles' Creed, Baptism and The Lord's Supper. Below you will see the requirements that are expected to be met, a schedule for the upcoming year, blank sermon notes and service slips.
Our confirmation begins in the fall of the year around the second week of September and ends with our Confirmation Sunday the first Sunday of May. Click hear to see the schedule for the upcoming year.
Our requirements differ for each year in confirmation. Each year students are required to take sermon notes, serve others in the church and our community, 7th graders have a faith project assignment, 8th graders make their stoles for confirmation, write a faith paper and meet with the pastor individually. Click hear for the requirements for each year.
We all have some questions about what confirmation is all about. Click here to read some discriptions and understandings of why we have confirmation.
Each year there is a requirement to serve one another as Christ commanded us to do in love for our fellow brothers and sisters. Click here for a blank service hour slip.
